So, as already stated Brahma samaj was founded by Raja Rammohan Roy in 1822. His death in 1833 was a setback for Brahmo Samaj.

However, in 1842, Maharishi Debendranath Tagore joined the Samaj. He is also known for his work 'Tattvabodhini Patrika' which was am bengali language book. It was devoted to the systematic study of Indian's past with a rational outlook and propagations of Rammohan's ideas.

Later, in 1866 Keshab Chandra Sen was dismissed from thr Brahmo samaj. It was because thinking of Debendranath Tagore and Keshab Chandra Sen didn't matched.

So, after this conflict, Brahmo samaj was split into two. Keshab Chandra Sen formed a new samaj which was named ' Brahmo Samaj of India' and simultaneously Debendranath Tagore's samaj came to be known as 'Adi Brahmo Samaj'.

Another split in ' Brahmo Samaj of India' was seen in 1878. And the reason behind the split of itself Keshab Chandra Sen. He got his 13 year old daughter marry with minor Hindu Maharaja of Cooch, Bihar. This was not liked by many of them who were in Brahmo Smaaj of India.

Finally, in 1878, Ananda Mohan Bose, Sachichandra Deb and Umesh Chandra Datta made another samaj which came to be known as 'Sadharan Brahmo Samaj'.

This was all about the Brahmo Samaj which was founded by one of the great leader of pre- independence India.
