Three Tier Security for Trump, All 438 Rooms of ‘This’ 5 Star Hotel Booked
New Delhi : npnews24 : The floor of the ITC Maurya Hotel in Delhi, which houses the Grand Presidential Suite, has also restricted access to most hotel staff due to extensive security arrangements, according to sources. President Donald Trump and his family members will stay here. Trump will stay in the hotel’s ‘Chanakya’ suite, where former US President George Bush and Barack Obama have stayed before.
Sources said that security arrangements at the hotel have been with NSG commandos for the past two weeks and Delhi Police people are checking every floor on a daily basis. Officials of the US embassy are also monitoring the preparations. Sources said that common guests will not be allowed to stay in the hotel as long as Trump and the people accompanying the US president stay here. All 438 rooms in this five-star hotel are booked.
The Delhi Police, the US Intelligence Service and other agencies will have a multi-level security cordon during Trump’s tour next week. The ITC Maurya will have a three-tier security system. Policemen will be patrolling in plain uniform on every floor of the hotel.
The US President Donald Trump is coming to India on February 24 with his wife Melania Trump on a two-day visit. During this time, Trump will go directly to Ahmedabad. He will fly to New Motera Stadium from Ahmedabad Airport, where he will attend the ‘Namaste Trump’ program.
