5 simple steps to do meditation daily

Meditation is the most powerful exercise to bring change in your life.It is a technique to relax your body and calm your mind.It has uncountable positive effects on us.It helps to increase focus and reduce negative thoughts from our minds.Even a 5-minute meditation will benefit you in many ways.Here are the simple steps for beginners to start meditation :

1.Choose a peaceful place:

Go to a peaceful place because so much noise will disturb you from doing meditation.It should be comfortable and clean.You can meditate by sitting on a pillow, a mat or a chair.It is good to meditate in a place where you can feel fresh air.You can do it especially in the morning.

2.Posture:

Sit in a straight and erect posture.Clasp your hands and cross your feet.Put your hands relaxed and rest your arms on your thighs.Instead of clasping hands,you can also touch your thumb with your index finger to make a circle with the palm facing up and the rest fingers extended.

3.Closed Eyes and be quiet:

Eyes are doors of the mind.They create pictures in minds that makes difficult to focus and meditate.This will continue to make thoughts in the form of pictures and distract you from building concentration.Stop making any sound and chanting mantras while meditating.

4.Focus on breath:

Now, breathe slowly and normally.Focus on your breathing process.As you focus on your breath,your thoughts will start reducing and your breathing will become short.If it is practised daily then a no thought state will be achieved in the mind where you can control your negative thoughts.It needs a lot practice and focus to achieve this state of mind.

5.Time limit:

It generally takes 10 to 15 minutes on a daily basis.Some people do it for 1 hour. It's up to you how you want to do.The more you meditate,the more positivity you will get.If you have a little time then a 5-minute meditation is good for you.
